SMA High School Celebrates 142nd Commencement Exercises
On Saturday, May 20, St. Mary's Academy celebrated its 142nd commencement exercises inside the Bishop Evans Sports Center.
This year's graduates of aspiring engineers, writers, doctors, and other interesting careers will move on to an impressive range of colleges and universities across the country. High School Principal Kathryn McNamee presented the seniors to Interim Academy President Vicki Schwartz SL and the Board of Trustees Chair Bob Flynn who bestowed the diplomas before the festive recessional.
Alumna Banafsheh Lari '08 delivered an inspiring Commencement Address, and student speakers Gillian Burnham and Gabby Lorance shared memories and aspirations.
Congratulations to the Class of 2017 and to their families and friends who have challenged these young women to be courageous and powerful agents of change!

SMA is so grateful for the many volunteers who helped throughout this school year. They stuffed envelopes, worked at the Golf Tournament, created decor for the Gala, helped at carpool, and much, much more. SMA couldn't do what we do without our amazing volunteers. Thank you!

Jackie enjoys the outdoors, hiking, exploring new places, watching the Broncos win, and going to Rockies games.
Please stop by the Community Center and check out third, fourth and fifth grade art and design projects. Tomorrow is the last day to view the beautiful art work!

Shooting Stars is Molly Newman's fun, spirited comedy about a women's traveling basketball team that takes on a men's team in a small Midwest town. The team members, mostly Southerners, engage in fast-paced, clever dialog and silly high jinks that reveal their lives before baseball, and, unexpectedly, a universal message audiences will resonate with.
