Donna holds a BS in nursing from the University of Virginia and an MS in counseling from the University of Nebraska. She is a Counselor in both the Lower and Middle Schools at St. Mary's Academy.
Donna spent nine years working as a pediatric and psychiatric RN and 17 years as a child and family therapist before joining St. Mary's Academy. Donna finds that the loving and supportive community at St. Mary's Academy allows her to be both school counselor and school nurse, helping children and their families with issues such as grief and stress. When her granddaughters started kindergarten at St. Mary's Academy, she was even more certain that she was in the right place. Her grandchildren are loved, protected, and challenged each school day.
Donna's passions include reading, hiking, and being a grandmother.
After 16 years, Donna will be retiring. The SMA community will miss her and wishes her a very happy retirement!
